In Fall 2002, Jon and Cecilia visited their friends in Japan. During the stay they visited the Megaweb (also known as Toyota City). Toyota motorsports was most famous for its Toyota Team Europe rallying efforts, winning multiple WRC Group A Championships with the Celica GT-Four. The Megaweb housed many Toyota race cars that won major championships, including the Toyota 7, the Eagle Mk III, and Penske Indycar.

2002 was also the year that Toyota entered F1. Despite having the biggest budget it failed to win a single race.
