While visiting their friends in Stuttgart, Toby made the pilgrimage to Porsche Museum and Mercedes-Benz Museum.

At Porsche Museum, in addition to the usual “must see” (73 RS, Boxster Concept, etc.), many special racecars were on display together as the “50 years of Turbo” exhibit.

Just as in the BMW Museum (and Mercedes), they do not sell any museum souvenir… The boys got a chocolate 911, and Toby only stumbled upon a 73 RS (in a Porsche Museum display case) the next day.

Toby got up early (again) the next morning to visit the Mercedes Benz Museum.  The museum has a large history section.  With limited time, Toby spent the most time at the Silver Arrow exhibit.

Close to the Mercedes Museum is an eccentric Pig Museum (Schweinemuseum).  There are literally tens of thousands of pigs on display, including a diorama of the Porsche 917/20 “Pink Pig”

Finally, on their way to dinner, Toby made a quick stop at the “Porsche Driven by Dreams” brand store.
